Hello Friend. Our names are Michael & David Boyd and we are twin brothers. As member of the New Hope Seventh-Day Adventist Church in Killeen, Texas, we've grown spiritually through the countless youth ministries within the Adventist Church (Pathfinders, Youth Congresses, Youth Federations, etc). We are convinced that the youth of America need to experience Christ like we've been blessed to. We believe that we must take our knowledge as SDA youth and share it with the youth of America; not keeping it limited to youth within the Church. As a result, we've formulated The Enlightenment Tour, Inc. as a youth evangelism opportunity for SDA & Christian youth to take the Gospel to America's youth. You must remember that you have friends out there that need to know Jesus; that you want to see in Heaven. You have things you struggle with in your own life; that you want to see changed. You constantly see people around you that need to know Jesus. Do you know that the youth of America are in need of a Saviour? Can you agree that they need Jesus? There are so many young people in the USA suffering from drugs, addicted to alcohol, addicted to pornography, involved with gangs, recovering from molestation, depressed, dealing with low self-esteem, abused by parents, lonely & neglected, dropping out of school, dealing with pregnancy/abortions, detention center/prison bound, disease stricken & shut-in, misunderstood & stereotyped, ignored, homeless, coping with death, confused and scared, and the list goes on and on. These youth need to be encouraged, inspired, empowered, motivated, and most importantly; enlightened [given spiritual insight]. Do YOU think you can help them? Yes YOU can! The Enlightenment Tour, Inc. is a non-profit organization dedicated to youth outreach in America. Constructed as A National Youth Missionary Project; we are uniting SDA & Christian youth to reach the troubled youth of America. Our Vision: To take an army of 6,000 Christian youth, 14-24 years old, on 120 charter buses to do missionary work in 20 U.S. metropolitan cities to for 7 weeks in the summer of 2008. Our Mission: To show America's youth Hope & Peace through Jesus Christ. Our Goals: To win souls from all across America to Christ, To empower youth to make Christ first in their lives, To offer America's youth an alternative, To encourage and educate America's youth spiritually, and To share the Last Day message to the United States of America. In each of the 20 metropolitan cities, the 6,000 youth will separate into divisions to carry-out various mission fields Ex. concerts, parades, youth rallies, health screenings, seminars, community service, youth talk shows, drill & drum exhibitions, hospital visitations, youth talk shows, nursing home visitations, counseling, art ministry, praying ministry, detention center outreach, homeless outreach, children's ministry, street evangelism, workshops, etc. The Enlightenment Tour will stopover in each city for two days conducting mass Literature Evangelism, carrying out Mission Fields, and will conclude with a massive Evening Worship Service in stadiums so that the youth of these communities may have the opportunity to give their lives to Christ. The 20 Enlightenment Tour mission cities are as followed and will be traveled in succession [one after the next]: KILLEEN, HOUSTON, NEW ORLEANS, ATLANTA, MIAMI, CHARLOTTE, NASHVILLE, WASHINGTON D.C., BALTIMORE, PHILADELPHIA, NEW YORK CITY, CLEVELAND, DETROIT, CHICAGO, INDIANAPOLIS, ST. LOUIS, KANSAS CITY, DENVER, SALT LAKE CITY, and LOS ANGELES. The Enlightenment Tour will take place June 3,-July 23, 2008. The Tour Delegate Fee is $1,450.00 covering 54-day transportation, lodging, meals, recreation, t-shirts, souvenir journal, Tour DVD and related items. The Tour Delegate Fee is accompanied by a feasible payment plan.
